We are looking for a full-time WordPress Developer to join us at our Leicester office.

The role will primarily involve the development and management of custom eCommerce stores built using the WordPress CMS platform and building from approved designs. Training will be provided. We are looking for someone with a solid foundation of web development languages and experience in working with the WordPress platform.

Responsibilities of the Role

    1. Planning website customer journeys through wireframes which will be provided to our designers
    2. Building webpages, product pages, blogs and checkout flows from approved designs
    3. Building CMS options for our clients to update content
    4. Supporting our clients with technical requests around the use and upgrades of their websites
    5. Managing security updates of plugins, WordPress versions etc
  1. Providing clients with regular updates on their projects through both email and web calls
  2. Contribute towards our Web Development Processes and Standards


Desired Skills

The following skills and experience are desired:

  1. Working experience with foundational front end development languages (HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP)
  2. Familiarity with building webpages on the WordPress platform
  3. Great planning & organisational skills with the ability to deliver projects on time and to budget


Ideal Additional Skills
The following skills and experience are desired but not essential:

  1. Experience building WordPress CMS options for clients
  2. Experience & interest with some Javascript frameworks (e.g. Jquery, Angular JS, React, Vue etc)
  3. Working knowledge of Hosting Management, DNS configuration, CDNs, SSL and CloudFlare
  4. Experience of theme development principals with WordPress
  5. Working knowledge of Git Version Control and deployment to staging and production environments
